Sweater Try-On
I went in-store today to try on a few sweaters I’ve been eyeing online. I found three really great sweaters that all come in soo many good colors. Shop Here // This impossibly soft cable knit sweater definitely lives up to it’s name! Definitely the softest one I tried on. I’m wearing an XS here, and LOVE the fit, but could also size up to a small if I wanted it a little slouchier. I love that the sleeves are plenty long! I always run into problems with sweaters having short sleeves but not this one! Below is one way I would style it, but the options are endless with a sweater like this.
Winter Accessories
I noticed there aren’t a ton of really good scarves/hats this year. But I rounded up a few really great ones in this post! Super short and sweet, but these are all amazing choices!
Gift Guide – Men
Your husband (or boyfriend, fiance, whatever) “doesn’t want anything for Christmas,” right? That’s the consensus anyway! I got several requests for a “what to buy my man” gift guide. Honest – I don’t really know what to get for Marty. But I do have a couple ideas and I do know what things he already has that I’ve bought in past years that he LOVES now, but had no idea he wanted/needed them until I got them for him. Men don’t know what they want, okay? So instead of asking them, we just buy them the things we want them to have and it usually works out well. Here we go..
First up, you can always get him an experience. A gift card for a date, a staycation, a night of appetizers at several different restaurants, a couples massage, etc. These are all things that depend entirely on who your man is and what he likes. If he loves beer, maybe a trip to a brewery. If he’s a massage kinda guy, go that route. If you think he’d enjoy a book of boudoir pictures of his woman, DO IT. Just don’t gift it at the family Christmas party. or do, if you want to make it awkward! Haha! But these are all awesome gifts & can be given in addition to a small tangible gift.
Staple Closet Pieces
I’ve been asking what you all want to see more of on the blog & I’m finally going to start tackling those requests! One of the most requested topics is staple closet pieces. Things that are absolutely crucial for me to style outfits and get dressed w/o losing my mind. Staple pieces can be different for everyone but I also believe that even if everyone owned the same exact staple pieces, you would never know. These aren’t the “star of the show” items. They’re the parts of an outfit that don’t stand out but are crucial as a solid base for all the “fun” parts of an outfit that show your individual personality & style. This also means that these pieces are sometimes investment pieces & can be spendy. But they’ll last and are 100% worth the investment if you take good care of them and treat them like the MVP that they are. Invest in your closet and you’ll be that much more excited to get up, get dressed & get out, everyday. When you look good, you feel good.
